Jana JAKOVJEVIC

Jana Jakovljević was born in in Belgrade, Serbia. She has won many prizes in international music competitions such as:
Brahms International violin Competition First Prize, London Classical International Competition First Prize and Laureate, Laureate of the Rebublic competition in Serbia 3rd prize in the international competition „Jaroslav Kocian“, 2nd Prize at ‘Grumiaux violin Competition’, as well as many competitions in Serbia such as first prize and laureate in the Republic Competition of Serbia etc.

As a prize of the Johannes Brahms International Competition, Jana was offered a concert with North Czech Philharmonic in Pragues most famous Smetana Hall, and will in May 2024 preform solo Double Brahms Concerto for Violin and Cello.
She was a member of many chamber and symphony orchestras and organizations such as: Art link organizations and chamber orchestra « Art Link Virtuosi » ,Orchestra « Accademia archi de Arrigoni » Italy and the « Children’s Philharmonic », and thoroughly enjoys playing chamber music and is now in 4 ensambles perfecting her skills as a chamber musician.

In 2022 she premiered a piece named ‘Cavatina’ by a Serbian composer Ivan Brkljačić at a concert in which she played solo with Belgrade’s famous chamber orchestra St. George Chamber Orchestra; she later recorded Cavatina at the Music University of Music in Belgrade.
Jana attended masterclasses and worked with many prestigious violinists such as Igor Tkatchouk,Timur Melnik, Roman Simovic, Gordan Nikolic, Ivry Gitlis and Pavel Vernikov.
At one of the masterclasses in Italy, Jana had the opportunity to be one of two violinists to perform with the renowned pianist Itamar Golan.
She was the winner of a full scholarship for „Negri violin program“, in Gstaad Switzerland, where she studied with renowned violinists prof. Hu Kun and prof. Miguel Negri (2017-18). Straight after Switzerland, she continued her studies at ‘Yehudi Menuhin School’ of music in London, England where she completes high school music education in 2023.
From September 2023 Jana studies at the prestigious Royal Academy of Music in London with Professor Roman Simovic.
