The « Young Talents » programme is aimed at pre-professional musicians aged between 18 and 30 years old wishing to receive training to develop their musical career and to benefit from a springboard towards their professional success.

A professional
integration programme

The Académie Musicale Philippe Jaroussky enables talented young musicians between 18 and 30 years old to enjoy great support for their professional integration into the classical music field. Every year since 2017 approximately 20 young adults, from top music schools, have had a whole year to be helped in the development of their artistic and professional project.

As part of the “Young Talent” program, four one-week masterclass sessions and concerts are organised at La Seine Musicale. Throughout the year the young artists enjoy numerous professional opportunities thanks to the Académie’s artistic partners and media and varied training experiences for life as a professional musician. These opportunities help them to be prepared for their future auditions and competitions, to gain experience, to encourage artistic encounters – all skills which are essential for their professional development.

Renowned artists leading the masterclasses

The renowned countertenor Philippe Jaroussky, pianist Cédric Tiberghien, violinist Nemanja Radulovic and cellist Anne Gastinel tutor the Young Talents in order to improve their music performances. These great artists lead the masterclasses and give support to their students throughout the year.

When other exceptional masterclasses are organised it is an opportunity for other great artists to share with the Young Talents the benefit of their experience.

Masterclass sessions punctuate the Young Talents’ year at the Académie. For a week the ‘Young Talents’ receive singing, piano, violin and cello lessons with both individual lessons and chamber music sessions. The week ends with a concert, where all the students present what they have been working on during the week.

Each day, one of the lessons is opened to the public and to the Académie’s partners for free. Organising a public Masterclass adds a new dimension to this teaching as it gives the students yet more opportunities to perform.

At the end of the year, a big concert presents all the work done throughout the year by the Young Talents. They are given the opportunity to play great works from the classical repertoire with a renowned orchestra.
